Jeffrey D. Fisher is Professor Emeritus of Finance and Real Estate at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University with particular expertise in Real Estate Investment Analysis and Valuation. He is a coauthor of Real Estate Finance and Investments (15th edition) used at universities around the world. He has served on the board of directors of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI), and was a founding Trustee of The Appraisal Foundation. He has published numerous articles in journals such as Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, The Journal of Urban Economics, and The Journal of Real Estate Research. He received PREA/Graaskamp Award for Research Excellence from the Pension Real Estate Association, the Richard Ratcliff award, the Ricardo Award and the Pioneer Award from the American Real Estate Society, the George Bloom Award from the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, and the Martin S. Katz Memorial Award from the American Property Tax Council (APTC). He works closely with Sterling, consulting on investment analysis, economic feasibility analysis, and strategic planning, and assisting clients with complex issues in real estate finance and valuation requiring rigorous analysis.
